Socket Preservation Using Bovine Bone Graft and Pericardium Membrane: A Case Report

Background: Tooth extraction is followed by a resorption of the bone in buccal or facial portion, up to 50% first six months after extraction. Bone loss mainly results from damage periodontal ligament complex. Socket preservation surgical procedure aimed maintain an alveolar ridge extraction, eliminating minimizing need for future augmentation implant-prosthetic rehabilitation. techniques use some regenerative material such as graft and membrane.
 Objective: To discuss socket procedures using bovine pericardium Method: A 48-year-old woman presented Dental Oral Hospital Hasanuddin University have tooth 47, which was mobile extruded, extracted. Patient had no systemic disease did not any drugs. Clinical radiograph examinations showed surrounding edentulous area. The patient wanted wear prosthesis but that needed high. case diagnosed chronic periodontitis. Atraumatic done placed socket, placement membrane. Soft tissue healing clinically evaluated.
 Results: Control period one week apparent uneventful clinical socket. satisfied with treatment.
